I'm Returning to the Amish

September 6th, 2007 at 04:08 pm

Lots of news!!! My former fiance, Luke Yoder, mailed me a letter. I called him on the commmunity phone and he wants to get back together....as long as I can live in a beachy Amish community-so I am going to do that next month- so you won't be hearing from me as much. I am doing a newsletter though- monthly that will have recipes, Amish penpals, frugal ideas, etc.

Wow. That really is quite a change isn't it. Congrats! Is it just a coincidence that both of you have the same last name? Just curious.

Hello KC, my name is Lisa and I too have been searching for an Amish penpal but have had no luck yet. I subscribed to a amish newspaper called "The Budget". The address and Ph# is P.O. Box 249, Sugarcreek, Ohio 44681; 330-852-4634. I think you would find it to be very interesting, and I always look to see if anyone amish is looking for a penpal as well. The price for the subscription is $42.00 a year and you receive a newspaper every two weeks. There is also another paper which I have not subscribed yet called "The News" in Lancaster, PA. That phone # is 717-392-1321.
I am 38 so if you happen to find an amish around my age looking for a english penpal please let me know. If I find one around your age I will do the same for you. my e-mail is ltoracerx@peoplepc.com

    Thanks, and many blessings.

  16. Lisa Eberle Says:

Hello Paula Farrell, My name is Lisa Eberle. I saw your post on this amish blog and just wanted to commend you for having 9 children. WOW!!! However, I am the youngest of 9 children myself, 4 girls and 5 boys. I havent had any luck with finding an amish penpal. I don't think they do much with the internet so of course they wouldn't see any of our request.
    Anyway, have a great day.

    Lisa
