Recap- The Wedding is Off!!!

OK.... I'm still single- guess I will be forever. I'm not getting married and I'm NOT returning to the Amish- I just can't do it. I am so used to my life as I know it now- even though I have my bad days, like most folks, and want to run away.
We had our holiday meeting in Elizabethtown. I wanted to go shopping but I didn't. I alos painted my own nails- saved $50.00.
As most know, it will be a year on October 2nd since the horrible shooting at Nickel Mines. Please remember those whom lost their lives by lighting a candle.

    Living in Amish country is really like living in a whole other world, isn't it? What was it, and how old were you, when you decided to leave that community?

    this is so intriguing. maybe i should leave the city life for something more simple. is there an amish community without religion?

    Wow, that's a lot of um stuff to happen for such a short post. I've also pretty much resigned... well, maybe "resign" is a bad word... but at least accepted that I am probably going to be single for the rest of my life.

    But you know what? It could be worse. In fact, I've HAD worse. Big Grin But to me, that's just the way it is, so I might as well make the most of it.

    I'm not trying to suggest any kind of advice towards anyone else on this or anything. It's just how I personally feel about it right now.

    Could you join a Mennonite community? I thought they were like "modern" Amish?
