As most know, I travel alot, and am in a SUV half the time. I am trying to not eat out as much, so I thought about packing my lunch for my road tours- anyone have any suggestions? It would have to be something that I can eat cold. I think Julie had mentioned about her husband having something you cna plug into your cigarette lighter- at least, I think it was her- if so, Julie, can you email me where I can get it? I thought about wraps- I already take salads.

OK, I know that daddy is sleeping until the resurrection, but I kneeled by his grave today in the rain and cried- I miss him so much that I cna't help but cry. This is the first parent whom I have lost, please tell me it will get better. I outran the paparazzi though- one good thing. I didn't feel like dealing with them today.

It has been a rainy day here in Kentucky. The stores were swamped. Mom is cooking tomorrow. I am sleeping in. Why is it that you try to help someone to save money and they think your crazy?
I tried to tell my friend that she could save $50.00 a week not eating out as much, and she got offended.

My friend and I were chatting about the passing of realtor, Linda Stein, who was such a dear lady, according to other celebrities. Its so sad that her assistant has been arrested. The reason we were chatting was that I had an assistant once, whom did subcontracting for me and didn't do the work. She was a thief- have never heard from her again. Another stole cookbooks at Christmas time. So I'm beginning to think that all I trust is my security team, and they will probably be the only ones escorting me on the 2008 tour to Hawaii, Canada, and the major book festivals in the US. I've just been burned by so many folks.

I did some work in Louisville today- had lunch at a little chinese restaurant on Brownsboro Rd. It was only $3.95 and included a drink with a free refill- YUMMY!

Today was a quiet day- mom cooked supper and I enjoyed spending time with my twin sister, who is flying back tomorrow. I am at peace with daddy's temporary death, as I have a firm belief in a better place after the Christ comes again. Thanks for all the nice emails.

Thanks to all the prayers for daddy- he passed away at 7 am this morning- and he will await the resurrection of our Lord Jesus- I feel comforted that the next people he will see is the Lord and angels. He is going to be taken to Richie Peach and Todd funeral home in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. At least he got to go on my first book tour before I became famous:>)
