Have I Changed???

June 20th, 2008 at 03:23 pm

OK- I overheard a group of locals girls as they were passing me, say that I had changed since I became famous. It hurt my feelings because I'm still the same Sicily- I still save money in my piggybank, and I still enjoy hanging out with the same friends- so I don't understand how I have changed. I've been on this blog since 2006- and I'm still blogging- the only think that has changed is my hectic tour schedule and broken arm. Maybe some people think its all easy- touring and balancing my merchandising business too- I've been up since 4 am and went to bed at 2am, and I'm still working as we speak- not in $$$ sense, but it updating my new Myspace fan sites. Tours are grueling- all the fast food between the appearances and being shuttled from tv or newspaper appointment to another, and then, I always stay as late as I can to chat with my fans. I really put in 100%.

That's too bad. Please don't take this the wrong way, but perhaps you could focus more on who you are and less on the "celebrity" thing. Everyone goes through changes of a variety of kinds in life, and friendships DO change. I don't know how famous you really are in your town. I hadn't ever heard of you... but your friends might feel bad because they are NOT celebrities. Now that everyone knows you're famous, you probably don't need to mention it.
    Good luck!

Swimgirl- I like your name!!! Its my hometown that's the problem- every other state where I am well-known is welcoming and very nice to me-I'm not saying the whole town is like that- there are people that love me, and support me, but there are those people who are just mean. You know- you brought up a good thing though- maybe they are upset because I am a celebrity and they are not- I don't know why though, because I'm not the "Hollywood" type, as I also work my merchandising business and bring in over $4,000 net income per month with that, so I am a working girl too. I cover celebrity travel/food/fashion on my website, so it is impossible to not talk about the nicer things in life- but I also am humble and talk about the simple things too- like the Amish culture and gardening- even posted pics of mom & I in the garden. I LOVE all of my friends, and hope they won't be jealous; however, I really think all of my family and friends love me for you I am. I think it is folks who don't know me that think I'm stuck up.
