OK- my wonderful teen and his fiance mocved out, and I am trying to help them- it is hard being out there, and I have to admit- I spoiled him, so he is used to calling me. They are living on the edge of Louisville- a big city. I caught myself sneaking by there, brigning them drinks and food, and just checking on them- I guess I'm lonely now that they are gone.

I was thinking today, how I juggled everything years ago, when I was a foster parent- and remembered Ebates.com. Today has been a hot day, for October. 85 degrees- I like the cooler, real autumn weather- 65 or below. I love being cool. I am cooking bacon-ranch pasta salad for lunches tomorrow, and also some soft sugar cookies. My teens are working in the same area I work in, so I am making a long route, and letting them ride with me- to save $35.00- the truck guzzles gas- it costs $10.00 less to drive the PT cruiser. I splurged and had a grape soda- first one since I had a tooth pulled several weeks ago- and, to my surprise, it tasted nasty. I visited The Opryland Hotel this past weekend. It was so large- really large- alot of walking.

I got to meet some of the 101st airborne soldiers- they were passing through where I live, and they were so nice. I have seen there before, on the parkway. My brother-in-law just got back from Kuwait last year.

My electric bill has been well over $100.00, and the new bill I just got was only $66.00!!! That is half of what it has been. I have to keep the air on, as I have hot flashes, but now that it is cooler, I haven't had to do that as much.
