A Blessing Arrived Today:>)

March 20th, 2009 at 08:35 pm

I had a true blessing today, as my nephew, who I was a foster parent for for seven years, called me to say that Michelle had had the baby that we have been waiting for for a long time. We also have another one on the way, as Andrea is expecting in June. I have attached photos. He is so handsome. I didn't want to leave him.

Flaming Again

March 18th, 2009 at 07:09 am

I am so frustrated. That same person who uses a fake email address has been flaming me again, on WIKI. WIKI is a place where anyone can go and ask a question, and you discuss it, and improve the question. I've been on there for quite some time, and its usually just general questions, like what is my fanmail address, or how many sisters do I have? Its nothing fancy, so I wouldn't expect this person to be flaming me there, as readers ask those questions, and the questions are very basic. She is calling me a, "FAKE", again, and posted that several times, that I couldn't cook, and that I hadn't been on tour in Charleston, as I was a FAKE. She is making herself look so dumb, as you can Google, "Sicily Yoder in Charleston", and get the actual color-printed Charleston-area library newsletter and see all of my multi-day presentations ( someone actually put the link on there.) Any ideas how to get this person to stop? I'm getting very tired of them. As most know, I took my own blog back awhile back, and maybe they are just bored, since their wasn't anything fancy that I posted, so now they are attacking my reader's posts. I really take that personal, when they attack my readers, as I care alot about them.

Amish Newsletters and Penpal Updates

March 6th, 2009 at 08:45 pm

I am still getting emails from readers who wanted an Amish or Mennonite penpal or wanted to subscribe to my monthly snail-mail newsletter, "Amish Garden News." I very rarely go back to my old posts, and, since I am traveling through a different state almost weekly, it is hard for me to respond or post anymore. So the information is posted below. The community that was going to participate in the penpal was unable to do so, so, for now, that section isn't in the newsletter, and has been replaced by an "Amish Casseroles", recipe section.
Sample issues are $2.00, and can be sent to my Paypal at beachgirlky@yahoo.com or to:

The Amish Garden News

******Please note, if you snail mail the check, I am sometimes gone for weeks at a time, so please allow time for my response. I will try to post on here at least weekly. I miss reading everyone's posts.
